German ferry operator AG Reederei Norden-Frisia is making great strides in sustainability with its latest addition to the fleet. The company has partnered with Damen Shipyards to design and deliver a 32-meter full electric ferry that will carry 150 passengers and provide a speed of 16 knots.
To further support the vessel's sustainability, AG Reederei Norden-Frisia has also invested in a jetty charger pontoon, which will be responsible for supplying charging power to the ferry.
Royal Van der Leun received the order for complete engineering, integration, and delivery of the full electrical package for this vessel and pontoon.
